It was in the beginning
When one man was given a beautiful heart,
A perfect heart, filled with light and love,
Breathed into him by the Father above.

But one day, that heart became dark.
Its light faded from the righteous path.
Darkness crept in, opening the door to sin
Through disobedience, leading him astray.

The enemy thought he had won,
But victory came when God sent His Son.
Through Jesus Christ, redemption came,
Restoring his heart and giving him a fresh start.

No longer does the power of sin have dominion over him;
His heart now stands firm, renewed from within.

Through this one man, we inherit a defiled heart,
But through God’s grace, a new life can start.
Because of this, our hearts can now stand firm
If we lean on God’s arms—
Comfortable, secure, and guarded from all harm.
